Professional Designation

Hong Kong Credit and Collection Management Association (HKCCMA) is a prestigious credit organization dedicated to offering professional designations for credit and collection practitioners through examination.

In May 2005, HKCCMA and ACA International announced a joint effort to recognize credit and collection professionals serving the Hong Kong credit and collection market.

HKCCMA Chairman Benedict Wong, MCE, FCCMA; ACA President Harry Strausser III, IFCCE, MCE and ACA CEO Gary Rippentrop, CAE, finalized the CCP designation details at the Federation of European National Collection Agencies meeting in September.

"Credit & Collection Professional (CCP)" designation has been developed to recognize professionals who have practiced in, and have knowledge of the laws and practices in Hong Kong. The designation, designed for mid-to-senior-level executives in credit or collection operations, is awarded to individuals who successfully pass an examination developed by regional industry experts.

Practitioners take an examination after studying a book on credit management authored by HKCCMA's current Chairman, Mr. Bobby Rozario. Those who pass the examination will receive a junior CCP certificate.

HKCCMA has been independently organizing professional designation examinations and awarding designations since its collaboration with the ACA expired in 2022.

HKCCMA and Guangdong Credit Association (GDCA) signed a strategic cooperative agreement in March 2023. The two sides also reached a consensus on the accreditation of credit or collection operations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area). Details are as follows:

Credit and collection professionals or students of related disciplines in the Greater Bay Area sit for the examination after studying the designated materials. Those who pass the examination will be awarded a junior CCP certificate.
