Congratulations to the 2020-2021 Credit Management Excellence Award (CMEA) Winner, Mr. Ken WONG. The award was presented by Mr. Ricky Chan, FCCMA, CCP - Chairman of Annual Award Committee 2021-2022



The purpose of the CMEA is to recognize the achievements of an individual in the Credit Management industry.

Mr. Ken Wong is the Chairman of one of HKCCMA's longest corporate members, Bibo Ltd. Founded in 2000, Bibo is a Hong Kong based account receivable management company. In the past year, under the leadership of Ken, Bibo has become one of the leading efforts in utilizing fin-tech knowledge in debt collection-related work. Through its "Fin-Tech Internship Program", Ken's company has made available job opportunities to university students who are interested in pursuing a career in this area. It is determined that Ken has not just helped improve the efficiencies of his own firm but also helped improve the entire industry's image and work ethic. In addition, his support of the Association over the years is well recognized among the practitioners and the Executive Committee. The Association is delighted and proud of his accomplishments and contributions in the industry. The Award Committee is honored to present Ken with this award to acknowledge this milestone.



Below is the text of the speech as given by Mr. Ken WONG, on accepting this prestigious award.

Dear Chairman Mr. Bobby Rozario, Executive Committee members, Award Committee members, fellow members of HKCCMA and honourable guests:

It is a great honour for me to receive this Credit Management Excellence Award, in recognition of my continuous effort in utilizing fintech technology in debt collection work, from a well-established and managed professional organization like HKCCMA. But I must say I should only be the recipient on behalf of our technology development team in BIBO Limited. Ever since we started this debt collection company about 21 years ago, we have put technology in the first place. Over the years, we keep on applying automation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, fuzzy logic, computer-telephony, natural language processing technologies to our industry. Lately, we have started to apply regulatory technology to cope with the ever-demanding compliance requirements of our clients.

As we all know, debt collection is a people business, technology only helps improve business efficiency and can never replace humans. I sincerely encourage our fellow members to consider using these technologies if they are still hesitant about their values.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the HKCCMA for giving advice and guidance in developing our business, through its published articles, activities and webinars.

Last, but not least, I must personally thank Chairman Mr. Bobby Rozario for his continual support and kind referrals to various business opportunities over the years.
