"Credit Practitioner of the Year 2002"

Nomination Criteria

Nominees should hold a management position in the credit industry and be able to demonstrate the following experience, qualities and attributes:

1. Nominees should be able to demonstrate they have made a significant contribution to the credit and collection industry in Hong Kong by being able to show the following:

A. Providing the highest standards of honesty, integrity and creditability in all their dealings;

B. Active participation in credit and collection related events in Hong Kong;

C. Organization and facilitation of educational events to enhance the reputation of the credit and collection industry in Hong Kong;

D. Nominees should be engaged in the fostering of a healthy credit and  collection environment in Hong Kong;

E. Foster professionalism of the credit and collection industry in Hong Kong;

2. Nominees should be able to demonstrate their ability and skills in Management and Operation of a credit and collection department by demonstrating the following skills and experience: 

A. Ability to effectively communicate with members of the management team within their organisation in order to enhance and successfully manage the credit and collection management function; 

B. Excellent human resources skills;

C. Establishment and maintenance of security and risk issues within their  organisation;

D. Setting up and maintenance of contingency plans for their organization;

E. Automation Projects;

F. Innovative projects and ideas that they have established in other to enhance the management of their organisation. 

3. Nominees should be able to show their contribution to the enhancement of customer service by showing the following abilities: 

A. Enhancement of communication and interaction with internal and external customers;

B. Creation of value added services within the credit and collection function;

C. Establishment of performance pledge;

D. Evidence of appreciation from customers.

4. Presiding executive councilors in the Executive Council for the current term are not eligible for nomination for the Award.
