The Association's Annual General Meeting was held on July 27 2005 at the Casablanca Room of Park Lane Hotel, Causeway Bay. Some 50 members and guests attended this important event of the Association. The cocktail reception started at 6:30 p.m. followed with the announcement of 2005-2006 Executive Council election result.
Following the announcement, the 2004-2005 Association's Chariman, Mr. Benedict Wong reported the past year's achievement of the Association and announced the new ambitions in the coming year with his speech on the Chairman Statement.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Alpha & Leader -HKCCMA Credit Practitioner of Year 2004. Speech was given by Mr. Stephen Lo, the Chairman of the Annual Award Committee. This is the third year that the Association is presenting an award to recognise the industry practitioners for their contributions to the industry as well as their employers. Alpha & Leader Law of China is the main sponsor of this year event. This year award winner is Mr. Eagle Cheung, Finance Manager, Hutchison Telecommunication International Ltd.
The Annual General Meeting was concluded with souvenirs presented to the Judge Panel of the annual award and appointments of individuals and acknowledgment of individuals who have in the past assisted or advised the Association. The AGM closed at 8:00 pm.
