The Association's Annual General Meeting was held on May 5 2004 at the Casablanca Room of Park Lane Hotel, Causeway Bay. Some 40 members and guests attended this important event of the Association. The cocktail reception started at 6:30 p.m. followed with the announcement of 2004-2005 Executive Council election result and the announcement of the new Chairman, Vice-Chairman and the Chairmans of each committee.
Following the announcement, the Association's Chariman, Mr. Benedict Wong reported the past year's achievement of the Association and announced the new ambitions in the coming year with his speech on the Chairman Statement. Each member is also presented with the financial statement of the Association and the copy of the "Who's Who of Credit and Collection Practitioners in Hong Kong and Guangdong 2004".
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Coface-HKCCMA Credit Practitioner of Year 2003. This is the consecutive year that the Association is presenting an award to recognise the industry practitioners for their contributions to the industry as well as their employers. Coface, Hong Kong Branch is the main sponsor of this year event.
The Annual General Meeting was concluded with souvenirs presented to the Judge Panel of the annual award and appointments of individuals and acknowledgment of individuals who have in the past assisted or advised the Association. The AGM closed at 8:00 pm.
